We're changing what you think about Marsh Creek - all over again!

The Eco-Challenge

This year, to mark the completion of Saint John Harbour Cleanup, ACAP has completely reinvented the Marsh Creek Eco-Challenge to engage our community with a three month-long celebration of the beauty, diversity and strength of our city's greatest watershed.

The 2015 Marsh Creek Eco-Challenge will hold unique once-in-a-lifetime significance as it occurs in the post-Harbour Cleanup era, representing the first time in over 300 years that our community members can enjoy a Marsh Creek that is free from the contamination untreated municipal wastewater. This is truly a new era in Saint John's environmental history, so we thought, let's make it special!

How do I get involved?
— You, Your Friends & Family

Think of the Marsh Creek Eco-Challenge as the biggest - and best - scavenger hunt you've ever been on. From August through October, we'll be posting three types of challenges, each involving great prizes, designed to get you outdoors into the amazing natural spaces that Marsh Creek has to offer!

The three type of challenges will be:

  • Places
  • Spotting
  • Pop-Ups!

The goal of each challenge will be to complete a task, find a location, observe a plant or animal, then take a photo, post it to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, using the hashtag #MCEC

Best of all, you don't need to register ahead of time, participation is free, and you'll have a part in helping Saint John's environment just by snapping a photo!
