Invasive species ID and removal walk

Invasive Species ID and Removal Walk

Join ACAP Saint John and the New Brunswick Invasive Species Council for an invasive species identification and removal walk at Tucker Park.

As we explore the park and take in all that a cosy evening outdoors has to offer, you'll learn to tell native species from invasive ones like Japanese barberry and get hands-on experience helping to remove them where necessary.

Throughout the walk, we'll discuss how invasive species spread, the impacts they can have on local ecosystems, and the simple actions everyone can take to help prevent their introduction and spread.

Whether you're an avid nature enthusiast or simply curious about what invasive species look like, this is a great opportunity to learn from local experts while enjoying the outdoors.
